What should I bring to the Potluck?
Along with your gleaming personality and smile – please bring entrees, side
dishes, appetizers or salads, desserts to share with your fellow Billys and
guests. Non-alcoholic beverages, juices, and refreshments are also a good
idea to bring, in addition to the food items. Since it may be hot out, and
we have only limited cooler space (which we’d like to reserve for beverages)
and almost no fridge space, please don’t bring items that will spoil in the
heat, such as anything containing mayonnaise.
If you’d like to use the pool, please bring towel and sunscreen. Bathing
suits are optional.
Special attraction: We recently inherited a lot of books, and our
bookshelves are full, so we’re going through our entire library looking for
duplicates and for books we think we’re unlikely to want to read again.
We’ll have those out on a table for guests to help themselves, so if you
think you might be interested, bring a bag. They’ll probably be a mix of
fiction, non-fiction, and reference, mostly paperback but some hardback.
What health and safety protocols will we be using?
Because of the continuing risk of COVID, we’ll ask everyone to show proof of
vaccination + at least one booster when you arrive. (An image on your phone
Rather than having everyone crowd into the kitchen for food, we’ll be
setting the food up so that people can go through in a single line with 6′
social distancing. We suggest that you consider wearing a mask when you’re
indoors in a space that’s at all crowded, including the food line, but we’ll
make sure indoor spaces are well ventilated to minimize transmission risk.
We’ll have some bottles of hand sanitizer readily available.
How can I help?
– You can help set up the space – set up circle chairs outside as well as
the food on the kitchen counter and table.
– If you’re feeling exceptionally social – you can be a greeter and help
welcome attendees with a warm Billy hug and assist with their name badge.
– Be a cool neat freak and help clean up at the end of the social gathering.
– Help guys get together? . . . . Coordinate ride shares.

Peter & Michael’s home is located at:
260 Appaloosa Trail, Healdsburg
phone: 707 433-3263
DIRECTIONS: To get here, take US 101 to the Dry Creek Road exit (mile 505),
and turn East at the bottom of the ramp (right if northbound, left if
southbound). At the third light (Healdsburg Ave.), turn left. Go about 2/3
of a mile to Parkland Farms Blvd., which is the first light where you can
turn right but not left; turn right. Just about at the crest of the small
hill, you will see a sign for a left turn onto Appaloosa Trail: turn left
there. Continue around the curve, and as you head down the hill, you will
see our house on the right: the front yard is a large mulched area with
shrubs and trees and a yellow gravel pathway leading to the front door (“the
yellow brick road”). Please park on the street, since the driveway is only
one car wide and later arrivals will block earlier ones.
Please carpool if you can.
* Come for the whole afternoon or for whatever parts move you!
* This event is a drug and alcohol-free zone.
* Please refrain from wearing strongly scented products, since some
Billys & friends have allergies to these products.
* As at the Gatherings, only ADA-defined Service Animals are allowed at
Potlucks. (We have a dog or two, whom we will do our best to keep out
of the way.)
