Fall 2022 Gathering Covid Protocol:

Since there is currently some evidence of variant surges, for the Fall Gathering we are REQUIRING all attendees have at least one Booster shotIf eligible, A 2nd Booster shot is strongly encouraged.

If, before August 18, the case numbers increase and state and local mandates change, then we will adjust our requirements accordingly.  Further revision of the Protocol is also still under consideration by the Board in light of Summer Gathering infections.

Even if you are in good health/vaccinated and not that concerned about COVID for yourself, please take extra care not to be a carrier to your fellow Billys.  Please MASK and social distance starting at least 10 days prior to your travel to the Gathering. Please strongly consider finding a PCR testing site, 3 days prior to your travel, especially if you fall short of social distancing medical guidelines, 10 days prior to the Gathering.

For Fall Gathering the Guidelines as of today (and updated promptly) are:

  1. Proof of being fully vaccinated (including at least one Booster shot)  is required to register.
  2. Negative rapid Covid test to be taken the morning of your arrival day. (PCR Test taken 3 days prior travel and/or daily rapid testing throughout the Gathering are encouraged, especially if you have been in a social situation with possible exposure prior to the Gathering).
  3. With the exception of the food line*, masks are encouraged, but still optional in all indoor spaces (unless an individual Workshop Presenter requires masking) *Mask up in the food line and kindly police each other.
  4. STAY HOME if you show any signs of illness (Your registration fees are refundable less Billy Foundation incurred expenses).

A number of Billys will feel safer wearing masks indoors and we should all respect individual decisions. It is recommended that you carry a mask with you at the Gathering in case someone requests you wear one during a conversation. (You could, of course, prefer to end the conversation or move it outdoors.)

As we all know, Covid Safety Mandates can change at any time. As of this moment, our Guidelines follow the latest CDC and California Department of Health guidelines.

RE: Monkeypox / m-pox

The Board has not set a Protocol for Monkeypox. We advise to seek medical attention for any trouble spots on your skin especially if an area you can’t see to inspect yourself and you have been in a potentially exposing social situation (It MAY also be accompanied by Flu like symptoms). We encourage all Billys to educate themselves about yet another virus coming at us.:
